Volunteer with us

Our small staff team couldn’t possibly achieve what we do without the time, effort, enthusiasm, and ingenuity of our family of inspiring volunteers. Volunteers help our team on the front line, collecting, sorting, and delivering food, as well as in a number of other roles behind the scenes.

If you would like to get involved in food rescue, whether on the front line, or if you have other skills to offer, please fill out the form below.

Please email us if you would like to join our volunteer mailing list

Get your team on board

Your support enables us to build and sustain our smart business model and accelerates our big plans to nourish communities.

Engaging your team with KiwiHarvest is an opportunity to be part of a meaningful social enterprise and develop a great sense of community around your organisation. Knowing that what you do makes a difference makes everyone feel empowered. We can help engage your whole business, from staff to customers, with programmes which provide the perfect sponsorship fit.

If you’d like to donate or collaborate with KiwiHarvest, please contact us by clicking the button below.

Fundraising

For every $1 that is raised for KiwiHarvest, we are able to deliver the equivalent of 2 meals to people in need, stopping good food from going to waste in the process.

As a small charity, with an efficient business model, every donation we receive makes a huge difference to what we are able to achieve.

Schools

Looking to engage students at your school with issues surrounding food waste or food insecurity? We can deliver interactive presentations and workshops tailored for any age group or particular interest, engaging students with the wider issues, as well as explaining how KiwiHarvest’s food rescue model aims to combat these problems.

Please contact Ingrid on ingrid.petersen@kiwiharvest.org.nz if you’d like to find out more about our schools programme.

Cooking for a Cause

A unique corporate team building experience in New Zealand, our flagship Cooking for a Cause programme is a group cooking session led by a professional chef, creating delicious meals for delivery to our recipient charities.

As well as having a great time, your team will gain real insight into the problem of food waste, how we’re tackling it, and make a real difference for our recipient charities and their clients. So why not spend this year’s team building budget on something that will benefit your local community and get the feel-good factor flowing?

We can tailor the experience for groups of different sizes, and can provide Cooking for a Cause for teams in various different locations in New Zealand and Australia.

Please contact Ingrid on ingrid.petersen@kiwiharvest.org.nz if you’d like to find out more about Cooking for a Cause.
