Welcome to KiwiHarvest and the world of Food Rescue.

We are New Zealand’s perishable food rescuers; collecting good food before it goes to waste and distributing it to those in need to nourish the wider community. We’re powered by the positivity of people who want to make a difference, so find out how you can add some food karma to your day.

KiwiHarvest is dedicated to making the most of good food.

We provide an innovative way for businesses to redistribute excess good food, to nourish people in need. Food rescue is our core focus, but education and engaging communities are at the heart of our mission.

The ripple effect of food rescue extends beyond just getting surplus food to those in need; it affects everything from business bottom lines to school reports, here are a few of the ways our work makes a difference.

New Zealand’s Charities and Their Clients

KiwiHarvest’s deliveries provide charities with a broad range of nutritious fresh foods for their clients. Vital funding can then be re-directed into education, rehabilitation and the other empowering programmes that break the cycle of need.

Aotearoa and the Planet

Minimising food waste prevents tonnes of carbon emissions from polluting the atmosphere.

Smart Business

Our food donors can reduce expenditure associated with the disposal of excess food while simultaneously making a valuable contribution to their local community.

Happy Humans!

This is your chance to address very real needs in your own backyard. Volunteering directly enables KiwiHarvest to deliver more goodness to more people.

Food Collected

We collect quality surplus fresh food from markets, supermarkets, wholesalers, farmers, and prepared meals from cafes, corporate events and caterers then deliver it to those who need it most.

Our refrigerated vehicles are 75% full of fresh, perishable food that is redistributed on the same day!

Feeding People

100% of the food we rescue is delivered, free of charge, to charities and social service agencies, and shared with people in need.
