At KiwiHarvest – We operate through all COVID Alert Levels!

We take extra precautions – but food will continue to be rescue and redistributed.

Our Mission

Two Big Problems.
One Clever Solution.

Put simply, we collect good food before it goes to waste and get it to those in need.

KiwiHarvest reduces the negative impacts of food waste on our environment by redistributing excess food; helping to create lasting positive social change by nourishing those in need.

Naku te rourou, nau te rourou, ka ora ai te iwi – With your basket and my basket the people will live.  Māori Whakatauki.

Food Collected

We collect quality surplus fresh food from food growers, manufacturers, wholesalers and retail food businesses and deliver it to those who need it most.

Distributed

Our refrigerated vehicles are 75% full of fresh, perishable food that is redistributed on the same day!

Feeding People

100% of the food we rescue is distributed, free of charge, to community groups and social service agencies, and shared with people in need.

KiwiHarvest is classed as an essential service, therefore, we will continue to operate our no-touch policy, wear personal protective equipment and enforce the recommended physical distancing standards to ensure our most vulnerable communities have access to food during these challenging times. We will post additional updates on our social media pages as more information becomes available. Please stay safe and look after each other.💚

It’s always great to hear of students having a positive impact in our communities. A group of students from Takapuna Grammar School recently baked doughnuts to sell for their Business Studies class and with every doughnut sold one was donated to KiwiHarvest North Shore! 🍩 You can’t beat freshly baked treats so we know these would have been very well received by our recipients 💚
