Our Mission

Two Big Problems.
One Clever Solution.

Put simply, we collect good food before it goes to waste and get it to those in need.

KiwiHarvest reduces the negative impacts of food waste on our environment by redistributing excess food; helping to create lasting positive social change by nourishing those in need.

Food Collected

We collect quality surplus fresh food from markets, supermarkets, wholesalers, farmers, and prepared meals from cafes, corporate events and caterers then deliver it to those who need it most.

Our refrigerated vehicles are 75% full of fresh, perishable food that is redistributed on the same day!

Feeding People

100% of the food we rescue is delivered, free of charge, to charities and social service agencies, and shared with people in need.

KiwiHarvest CEO Deborah Manning was invited to speak at Waste Jam, a unique event aimed at encouraging new waste minimisation initiatives in and for Dunedin city. Dunedin City Council teamed up with Startup Dunedin to bring together a selection of fantastic minds from a diverse range of backgrounds, experiences, ages, and industries. For 2 days, they explored ideas, projects, initiatives, and events that encourage, promote, or administer waste minimisation activities. Congratulations to Dunedin City Council and Startup Dunedin for hosting this important event and bringing together people who are passionate about their city and minimising waste!
