At KiwiHarvest – We operate through all COVID Alert Levels!

Join us today for WORLD FOOD DAY.

Our Mission

Two Big Problems.
One Clever Solution.

Put simply, we collect good food before it goes to waste and get it to those in need.

KiwiHarvest reduces the negative impacts of food waste on our environment by redistributing excess food; helping to create lasting positive social change by nourishing those in need.

Naku te rourou, nau te rourou, ka ora ai te iwi – With your basket and my basket the people will live.  Māori Whakatauki.

Food Collected

We collect quality surplus fresh food from food growers, manufacturers, wholesalers and retail food businesses and deliver it to those who need it most.

Our refrigerated vehicles are 75% full of fresh, perishable food that is redistributed on the same day!

Feeding People

100% of the food we rescue is distributed, free of charge, to community groups and social service agencies, and shared with people in need.

Last chance to get tickets for 'Rescue the Flavour', an event held by AUT's Bachelor of Culinary Arts year 3 undergraduates! This year they've chosen the theme of rescued food with the aim to educate people in reducing food wastage through improving food literacy.

This event is being held at AUT's Four Seasons Restaurant, where the main course is made of rescued food supplied by KiwiHarvest. On the night, our CEO Gavin Findlay will be making a presentation alongside other guest speakers.

Funds raised by ticket sales will all go to KiwiHarvest. Limited tickets on sale now through the link below.

Well that's a wrap! Thanks for joining us for #WorldFoodDay everyone and we hope you enjoyed meeting some of your local #FoodHeroes here in Aotearoa.

There's many more out there though so if you know a Food Hero, give them a shout out in the comments or a thumbs up the next time you see them.

Have a great weekend everyone and we'll catch you next week when we're back at it again.
